Old-Hull Historical Walking Tour - From Ottawa & Gatineau

Hull has played a vital role in the region's development, prosperity, and social transformations. From the great lumber industry, to the prohibition era, the creation of the first women's workers union, the great fire, and much more, Hull has a rich history full of amazing stories and legends. Join us for a 2 hour walking tour of Old-Hull this summer as we bring you to Hull's most important landmarks, historical sites, and best kept secrets. Guests will be accompanied by a local historian and researcher who will be able to share their passion for the area to guests. 

This 2 hour walking tour includes the following stops and stories:

• The old E.B. Eddy Industries
• The old Match Houses
• The great fire of Hull
• The First Nations
• The Brewery Creek
• Eiffel Bridge
• And much more.

This tour is offered every Saturday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. For this walking tour, there is no transportation included. Your tour will begin outisde the Théatre de l'Île (1 Wellington Street, Gatineau). This location is only at a 15 minute walk from the Canadian War Museum. Your guide will be dressed in Aventure Outaouais clothing and will have an official lanyard with accreditations. We ask that guests arrive at least 10 minutes early to avoid missing the tour. This tour is offered in English only on Saturdays (except on select dates where it will be in French only: July 12th and 26st, August 16th, 2025) . The tour will end back at the Théatre de l'Île. 

The price includes your local guide and historian, approximitely 2 hours of walking tour of Hull, and lots of fun facts. Gratuities are not included, but appreciated in case of great service from your tour guide. This tour runs rain or shine, so we recommend to dress appropriately according to the weather. A detailed email will be sent to guests on the Monday before their tour with all the neccessary details (including parking options).
