Join Aventure Outaouais for Ottawa's most generous and diversified wine & cider tour. With over 18 tastings of wine and cider from 3 incredible family-run wineries and cider mills, get ready for a day full of discovery. Whether you're a novice wine enthusiast or a seasoned connoisseur, our tour provides a unique opportunity to taste award-winning wines from multiple wineries and cider mills, each offering their own distinct style and character. The best part is, guests enjoy private tours with the owners at each location, giving you the chance to interact with passionate winemakers who share their craft and stories. Plus, we provide a delicious homemade lunch prepared by one of the wineries! This is truly a local wine tasting experience you don't want to miss out on this summer from Ottawa and Gatineau. 

With your knowledgeable and local guide at the wheel, you will explore the following locations during the Petite-Nation Wine & Cider Tour:

  • Verger Croque Pomme: Part of the Outaouais landscape since 1994, Croque Pomme has become a true institution in the Petite-Nation region of the Outaouais. With amazing cider, spirits, jams, and many other products, guests will be able to enjoy a wide range of delicious artisanal products. Enjoy 5 tastings of different kinds of cider. From ice cider, to delicious dry cider, they have such a great variety to choose from in the beautiful orchard.
  • Domaine Mont-Vézeau: Known for their award winning wine, this vineyard produces a wide range of unique wines, include strawberry wine. Here, guests will be served a minimum of 9 tastings of wine and learn about the diversity of wines offered in Quebec. Plus, guests will be served the most amazing homemade wood fire pizza for lunch, as well as many treats from the farm.
  • Domaine de l'heure juste: This small family-run winery allows guests to not only enjoy 4 tastings of wine, but also learn about the difficulties of taking over an existing winery. Plus, guests will be able to try their amazing orange wine.

This Petite-Nation Wine & Cider Tour is offered every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from the beginning of June until the end of September from 10:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. The tour is run in our bus with groups of up to 14 people. Many pick-up and drop-off options are available (see Pick up/Drop off section for more information). Pick-ups will occur 45 minutes before the beginning of the tour. You can choose a preferred pick-up location at checkout and a specific pick-up time will be sent to you by email at least 48h prior to your tour. 

The price includes transportation, your awesome guide, a minimum of 14 tastings of wine and cider, and lots of food and treats for the day. It will be possible to purchase wine and other products at each of the visited location. Must be 18 years or older to be part of the Petite-Nation Wine & Cider Tour. Our tours are all inclusive. Transportation, guide, cost of activities, and food are all included in the price of the tour. We wish to offer worry-free adventures to our guests so that they can relax and enjoy their adventure to it's fullest without having to think about the costs or details. If you would like to purchase products in stores during our Wakefield Tour or our Petite-Nation Tour, you are invited to bring a form of payment that is most convenient for you. Also, during our Wine & Cider tour, it will be possible to purchase wine, cider, and other local products if you choose to do so.

Here are just some of the things which we provide for no extra cost:

-Umbrellas in case of rainy days;

-Hiking poles for tours involving a hike;

-Snacks on selected tours;

-Bug repellant;

-Crampons and snowshoes during our winter tours.

We recommend you bring the following in order to make your experience more comfortable:

-Bring appropriate footwear depending on the chosen tour, preferably something that is comfortable to walk in and waterproof in case of hiking;

-We recommend you bring a reusable water bottle in order to avoid wasting plastic! We will have cold water readily available for you!

-For outdoor tours, a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray is recommended (we can provide appropriate bug repellant during the tour);

-In case of rain, we will provide guest with an umbrella, but we still recommend wearing a rain jacket or poncho.

-During the winter, make sure to wear layers (coat, inner jacket, long sleeve shirt, etc.) to keep warm. Also, wear appropriate footwear, gloves, and head coverings. Snow pants or layers for your legs are recommended on very cold days. We will have hot paws to help out!

Aventure Outaouais offers free pick-ups and drop-offs for all our guests:

For guests staying in one of the selected accommodations (list below) in the National Capital Region (Ottawa or Gatineau), a pick-up time (typically within a 10 minute time frame 45 minutes before the tour begins) will be sent to you by email prior to your tour. If you are not staying at these locations, you may still use them. Not sure if you’re staying within a selected accommodation? During the checkout process, you will need to choose which accommodation you wish to be picked up at.
