3 Fire Tour Snowshoeing Challenge - From Ottawa & Gatineau

This winter, join Aventure Outaouais for this ultimate snowshoeing challenge from Ottawa & Gatineau. Every Sunday, we will bring guests to one of 3 selected observation towers in the Outaouais region. From the Mont Morissette Observation Tower, to the Parc des Montagnes Noires de Ripon, and the Mont Cayamant Observation Tower, guests can complete each of these awesome snowshoeing adventures and enjoy some of the best viewpoints in the entire region. If guests complete all 3 towers with us, they will receive a $50 gift card to use on an excursion of their choice!

Each week, we will bring guests to a different observation tower which have similar levels of difficulty and distance. Each hike is considered moderate in difficulty and will have a good incline. Your guide will be there to provide tips and tricks throughout the entire hike. For more details on each hike, please look below for more information. 

Here are the dates for each observation tower:

• Mont Morissette Observation Tower: Jan. 12, Feb. 9, Mar. 16
• Parc des Montagnes de Ripon: Jan. 19, Feb. 9, Mar. 2
• Mont Cayamant Tower: Jan. 26, Feb. 23, Mar. 9

What is included with this experience:

• All the necessary equipment: hiking poles, snowshoes or crampons depending on the trail conditions, etc.;
  
• Transportation from and to Ottawa & Gatineau;
• Your guide for the entire trip;
• Unlimited snacks in our minibus;
• Access fees to the different trails;
• Local and experienced guide;
• Hot chocolate.

This tour is offered on select Sundays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. (time may vary according to the chosen trail and date). The tour is run in our minibus with groups of up to 14 people. Many pickup and drop-off options are available (see Pick up/Drop off section for more information). Pickups will occur up to 45 minutes before the beginning of the tour. You can choose a preferred pickup location at checkout and a specific pickup time will be sent to you by email a couple of days prior to your tour. This tour may be postponed or cancelled in case of bad weather (snowstorm, freezing rain, heavy winds). In that case, a full refund will be offered to guests. Gratuities are not included but appreciated. Price is per participant. A minimum of 5 clients is needed to run this tour. 

While each hike may have similar levels of difficulty, the do have different levels of incline and distance. For the Mont Morissette Observation Tower, this trail is a 3.4 km trail with a 171 m elevation gain during the trip. This hike will take around 2 hours to complete (does not include the time at the tower). The Parc des Montagnes Noires de Ripon's trail is 3.4 km long and includes a 133 m elevation gain. Finaly, the Mont Cayamant Trail is 3.2 km and includes 500 steps to go up and down the mountain.
